Οι Burning Sticks είναι μια ελληνική μπάντα η οποία παίζει μουσική που αναμιγνύει τα στυλ της rock, pop και funk. Με ιδρυτή τον μπασίστα και τραγουδιστή Χρήστο Ανδροβιτσανέα, η μπάντα σχηματίστηκε στα μέσα του 2009 έχοντας πλέον ως σύνθεση την front-woman και τραγουδίστρια Νάνσυ Συμεωνίδου, τον κιθαρίστα Γιώργο Σταυρουλάκη και τον drummer Γιώργο Καρλή.
Παρότι η μπάντα εστιάζεται κυρίως στη συγγραφή, ενορχήστρωση και ηχογράφηση πρωτότυπου υλικού, οι ζωντανές της εμφανίσεις έχουν ως playlist τόσο πρωτότυπο υλικό όσο και υλικό σύγχρονων γνωστών καλλιτεχνών το οποίο και εμπλουτίζουν με τη δική τους μοναδική αισθητική. Αυτή η αισθητική ήταν ένα από τα χαρακτηριστικά τα οποία έκαναν ιδιαίτερα θετική αίσθηση κατά τη συμμετοχή των Burning Sticks στο ελληνικό X-Factor το οποίο και έδωσε στη μπάντα μεγάλη τηλεοπτική προβολή και αναγνώριση. Οι κριτές του XFactor έκαναν ιδιαίτερη μνεία για τις φωνητικές ικανότητες και εκφραστικότητα της Νάνσυς και έδωσαν τα εύσημά τους για την ποιότητα του θεάματος της μπάντας επί σκηνής. Όπως είπε και ο κύριος Λεβέντης, “Αυτό είναι ένα θέαμα για το οποίο θα πλήρωνα για να δω".
Εκτός από το X-Factor, οι Burning Sticks έχουν συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμα τηλεοπτικά
shows στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, όπου έχουν ερμηνεύσει το πρωτότυπο υλικό τους,
τόσο με ακουστικά όσο και με ηλεκτρικά όργανα μεταξύ των οποίων και το Ράδιο Αρβύλα
και MAD Day Live.
Οι Burning Sticks κυκλοφόρησαν το single τους “Fragments” σε συνεργασία με την Final Touch το Μάρτιο του 2012 και διανέμεται από την Universal Music Greece. To single διατίθεται στην αγορά, τόσο σε ψηφιακή μορφή μέσω του iTunes και άλλων e-shops, όσο και σε φυσικό προϊόν, με τη μορφή 12ιντσου βινυλίου. Η ηχογράφηση έγινε στο θρυλικό studio Rockfield στην Αγγλία (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockfield_Studios) όπου έχουν ηχογραφήσει συγκροτήματα όπως οι Queen, οι Oasis, οι Charlatans και άλλοι. Η κυκλοφορία του δίσκου τους προγραμματίζεται για τα τέλη του 2013.

The Burning Sticks are a Greek band playing music covering the broad spectrum of the rock, pop and funk genre. Formed by bassist and singer Chris Androvitsaneas at the middle of 2009, the band is currently comprised of front-woman and singer Nancy Symeonidou, guitarist George Stavroulakis and drummer George Karlis.
Although the band mainly focuses on writing, arranging, rehearsing and recording original material, their live performances consist of both originals and covers, the latter being spiced up with the band’s unique artistic taste. This artistic taste was one of the things that were praised during the band’s participation on the Greek X-Factor music show which gave the band nation-wide exposure and acclaim. X-Factor judges were very fond of Nancy’s voice for its technical quality and expressiveness and gave credit for the band’s live act. Quoting Mr. Leventis (former managing director of Ant1 TV and Sony Music USA), “This is a live act that I am willing to pay for”. However, X-Factor is not the only TV exposure that the band has attained. The Burning Sticks were featured in numerous national TV shows, both in Greece and abroad, where they performed acoustically and electrically their own originals, including the shows “Radio Arvyla” and “MAD Day Live” which both feature Greece’s most popular pop and rock artists.
The Burning Sticks released their debut single “Fragments” under Final Touch on March 2012 and it is distributed by Universal Music Greece. The single is available for purchase both in digital format from iTunes and other e-shops and in 12” vinyl. Recording and mixing took place at the legendary Rockfield Studios(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockfield_Studios), a studio of choice for bands of worldwide acclaim (Oasis, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, The Charlatans, etc).
The band is planning for an album release at the end of 2013.
